November 10, Moscow, Russia. PJSC RusHydro announces inauguration of 5.6 MW Ust-Dzhegutinskaya small-scale hydropower plant in Karachay-Cherkessia Republic.

Andrey Kazachenkov, First Deputy Director General of RusHydro and Rashid Temrezov, Head of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, took part in the opening ceremony.

To date, this is the second facility built under the capacity supply agreement (DPM) for renewables. Earlier in June, RusHydro has commissioned 10MW Verkhnebalkarskaya small-scale hydropower plant in Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. By the end of year, RusHydro plans to bring online one more facility – 5.25 MW Barsuchkovskaya small scale HPP in Stavropol region.

Andrey Kazachenkov, First Deputy Director General of RusHydro commented: “Launch of Ust-Dzhegutinskaya small-scale HPP is another step in hydropower development in the region.

So far we have commissioned three facilities in the region and are on track to bring online two Krasnogorskiye small HPPs with combined installed capacity of 49.8 MW. The new power plants will contribute to reduction of electricity shortage in the region and provide stable and clean electricity production.” - link
