Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Ming Yang Smart Energy has notched its first order for an offshore wind project in Japan.
Ming Yang signed a contract to deliver three MySE 3.0MW typhoon-proof turbines for an undisclosed 9 MW offshore wind farm in the Japanese Sea.Construction will begin in 2022, Ming Yang said.
The company is also developing a local operations team to better provide wind turbine supply and O&M services to customers in Japan.
”With over 2000 turbines operating in typhoon-prone areas, MingYang is well positioned to deliver top-notch typhoon-proof offshore wind turbine solutions based on proven Hybrid Drive technology to capitalize on the abundant high winds in Japan,” Ming Yang said in a social media post.
