LUSH 'BRING IT BACK' PROMPTS BIGGER RECYCLING HUB

LUSH is moving its recycling activities to a bigger base at a Poole industrial estate.

The cosmetics business is to move its Greenhub site from Hamworthy to a new warehouse at Fleets Corner Business Park.

The new site, Unit M, is more than three times the size of Lush’s existing recycling hub at 40,128sqft and will operate alongside the company’s other four industrial units at Fleets Corner.

The Greenhub is due to launch late this year and will play a key role in Lush’s sustainability initiatives and its Bring It Back recycling scheme, introduced in the UK and Ireland this year.

Bring It Back allows customers to bring any full-sized Lush plastic packaging back to a shop for a 50p credit. The plastic is sent to the Greenhub to be processed and remoulded into new black Lush pots or industry feedstock.

The Greenhub at Fleets Corner will also be home to Lush’s repairs and maintenance teams and the shop furniture team, as part of the company’s zero-waste initiatives - link
