BENEFITS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Rose tinted glasses
  • Until 2080, a warmer climate will produce:-

  • Lower energy costs for farmers in the northern hemisphere
  • Higher CO2 levels leading to increased plankton biomass in the North Pacific providing greater food stocks to a multitude of fish and whales
  • Lower costs to feed livestock
  • Improved soil quality by enhancing carbon sequestration through carbon farming
  • Agriculture in Canada such as Alberta would benefit from increased rainfall in both summer and winter
  • Larger yields of fruits and vegetables in the northern hemisphere
  • Faster tree growth increasing CO2 storage
  • Later annual frosts allowing farmers to expand their range of produce
  • Increased vegetable production across Greenland
  • Better conditions for certain sea life such as cephalopods and starfish
  • Reduction in winter deaths throughout Europe
  • Reduced ice in the Northwest Passage providing a shipping shortcut between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans
  • More suitable climate for some animals such as the Gentoo penguins, Wild Boars, cats and butterflies leading to increased populations
  • Better survival rates for young animals throughout the northern hemisphere
  • Increased forest growth
  • Increased Arctic tundra plant reproduction
  • Greater carbon dioxide uptake in the oceans moderating and slowing further warming
  • Increased cod fishing leading to improved Greenland economy

TAT MODERN

It's free entry at Tate Modern and thank the lord for that as there's very little in there worth seeing.

Many years ago we were fortunate to visit Tate Modern at a time when Gilbert And George, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin were all there pushing the boundaries and making us question what we were seeing.

Now unfortunately they've all gone and what's left is dusty, tired, uninspiring old crap which only makes us ask the questions 'what's clever about that' and 'why is this here'?

If anything, some of the stuff is actually annoying; the 'art' being having got Tate Modern to accept it in the galleries such as an old shitty wooden pallet with ripped fabric falling off it - well done to the artist (can't be bothered to research name) for getting this item found on building sites across the world in to what must be called 'Tat Modern'. DON'T HECKLE, THROW ACID

Maybe instead of heckling unfunny fat left wing comedians, we should throw battery acid over them instead. Can I say that?

If we're now finding this acceptable, what next?
